Our four executive officers lead CA-SA of AST's day-to-day operations, strategic initiatives, and member advocacy. Each brings deep clinical experience and a commitment to elevating the surgical technology profession statewide.

Suzette Robinson

Suzette Robinson, BS CST

President Term: 2025 – 2027

Surgeon technology educator and advocate with 10+ years at USC and faculty experience at Glendale Career College.

I have had the privilege of serving on the California State Assembly of the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) since 2021. I was elected to the Board of Directors and later appointed to serve as Vice President, roles that have allowed me to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of our profession.

Sabrina Arreaga

Sabrina Arreaga, CST

Vice President Term: 2025 – 2027

Six-year CST and former Student Ambassador who now leads with a focus on equity, advocacy, and empowering the next generation.

A proud Certified Surgical Technologist, I graduated from Glendale Career College in 2020 and have been practicing in the field for over six years. In 2019, I had the honor of serving as a Student Ambassador for CA-SA. I was later appointed as Secretary in 2021 and now serve as Vice President.

David Reyes

David Reyes, CST

Secretary Term: 2024 – 2026

CST at Keck University Hospital of USC, UBC contributor, and champion for certification and continuing education in surgical technology.

A Certified Surgical Technologist at Keck University Hospital of USC, I am committed to serving the board, advancing our profession, and supporting my fellow surgical technologists. I currently contribute as a collaborative member of the Unit-Based Council (UBC) within my organization.

Wil Montes

Wil Montes, CST

Treasurer Term: 2025 – 2027

Seven-year CST and Clinical Coordinator at Northwest College, committed to financial integrity and organizational excellence.

With seven years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist, I have developed a deep appreciation for the demands and rewards of working in the operating room. My path has included challenges that have strengthened my resilience, adaptability, and commitment to excellence in patient care.
