The 2026 AST National Annual Conference brought together surgical technologists from across the country for four days of education, professional development, and networking in Seattle, Washington.

During the conference, California's own Carlos Navarro and Kendria Stevens-Hulsinger were awarded the prestigious Fellow of the Association of Surgical Technologists (FAST) designation. This distinguished honor recognizes individuals who have consistently demonstrated the highest professional, ethical, and moral standards while dedicating their careers to advancing the surgical technology profession and improving the quality of surgical patient care.

With this achievement, they join an elite group of only eight FAST designees in the state of California.
